As we head into Labor Day weekend, we took a look back to the blog entry from August 29 of last year where Lauren was sporting her 0-3 month sized bikini and viewing the whole world horizontally (and most often with her eyes closed).
Fast forward one year and we say good-bye to Summer 2011 through our very own designer sunglasses, splashing in the pool, and three months full of fun memories behind us (minus the 100 digit heat).
We love you Summer. Please don't go away!

The Wedding
Once in awhile,
Right in the middle of an ordinary life,
Love gives us a fairy tale.
~ by Anonymous ~
There are no other words to describe the beautiful union that took place on July 30th between Jerris and Michael. Never has our family witnessed a more loving and endearing event. All our love and best wishes to the gorgeous bride and her stunning groom.
Time to get dressed with a little help from Sam.
There are no words to describe the beauty and happiness that our bride radiated on her wedding day.
Sam escorting his Mom down the aisle. So sweet!
Her prince awaits every so patiently...
A new family...
united in love
Thank you Jerris and Michael for sharing your special day with Lauren and our entire family. Fairy tales really do come true!

Blessed
On Saturday, July 30th our family spent a glorious day together in Denver as we celebrated Lauren's baptism and her Aunt Jerris and Uncle Michael's wedding. Family and friends traveled near and far for a day that will not soon be forgotten. We truly are so blessed.
Lauren wore her Mother's baptism dress and coat (only 40 years old and counting).
This is not to be confused with a communion cracker. It's a Keebler!
The proud parents
Like any typical one-year old "everything that's yours is mine". Including our minister's baptism notes.
Ahh...success! Lauren managed to take his notes and his stole.
The perfect pink baptism cake for our family celebration.
A quick pose with Aunt Jerris and a very handsome Cousin Sam. T-1 hour till the wedding!

Pre-Wedding Prep
Lauren and family just returned from the most magnificent week in Denver celebrating Lauren's baptism and Aunt Jerris and Uncle Michaels BEAUTIFUL wedding day.
As our family patiently awaits the professional photos here are some pre-celebration preparatory pics.
The wedding is coming, The wedding is coming!
Party balloons anyone?
Taking it all in...
In lieu of wedding gifts, Cousin Sam and Lauren decided to buy themselves Build-a-Bears.
Time to get all cleaned up for the BIG day!
More pictures to come!
